On Saturday, Aug. 18, the American Beverage Association (ABA) will once again host a tent showcasing our wide variety of low- and no-sugar beverages at our partner organization Jovenes' annual LA Taco Festival featuring more than 30 local taco vendors. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample our delicious beverages with fewer calories while supporting this local organization which helps homeless youth get back on their feet by providing housing as well as healthcare, education, employment and trauma recovery.

Back in 2009 Jovenes had an ambitious idea to bring their city together and support local youth by celebrating a food we all love: tacos! Somehow, there wasn't a Taco Festival in Los Angeles, so they jumped on the opportunity to close off a few streets at Mariachi Plaza, showcase some of East LA's tastiest tacos, bring in some awesome bands and create a unique experience where people can eat, have fun and support a great cause. Now an annual event, the LA Taco Festival has outgrown Mariachi Plaza and moved to Grand Park in the hart of downtown, attracting thousands of people from across LA.

Thanks to the generous support of our member companies, ABA is not only able to support Jovenes' efforts to ensure successful transitions from homelessness to successful living for homeless youth in East LA and Boyle Heights but is also able to showcase our newest innovative products on a hot summer day! If you are at Taco Fest this weekend, be sure to stop by our tent to learn more about the Balance Calories Initiative and cool off!
