Among the stories of loss, there have also been stories about the great strength and kindness the people in Texas – and throughout our country- have shown the victims of this natural disaster.

As Hurricane Harvey continues to impact Texas, our members throughout the state, while being directly impacted, are also working to provide relief. Already, America’s beverage companies have collectively donated $2 million to the American Red Cross and are using their voices to promote relief fundraising. Additionally, our member companies have donated pallets of water, milk and other beverages at shelters across Texas.

There are many other ways we can help provide assistance to Texans and those affected by the hurricane. Here are a couple of organizations in particular doing the hard work to ensure not only lives are saved but that survivors are cared for afterwards:

  • The Mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, has started the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Tax-deductible donations accepted on their website. The fund will be housed at the Greater Houston Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.

America’s beverage companies and their employees will be there to offer support every step of the way as Texas, Louisiana and other places affected by Hurricane Harvey rebuild and recover from this natural disaster.  More information on how you can help can be found here
