On March 20, PepsiCo announced it will be providing enhanced benefits to all U.S.-based employees and additional compensation to U.S. frontline employees in the midst of this crisis. These benefits will ensure that employees who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or are caring for family members who have been diagnosed will see no disruption in their salary as a result of the outbreak. The committed effort of their frontline workers to maintain infrastructure and critical function is vital to continual American prosperity and life stability. As PepsiCo CEO Ramon Laguarta said, “With COVID-19 reshaping the way we run our business and live our lives, it’s important that we acknowledge the people keeping us steady during turbulent times…We couldn't be prouder of our PepsiCo team for the role they play in restocking pantries and refrigerators.”

In addition to expanding workforce benefits, PepsiCo pledged $1.5 million to support millions of restaurant industry workers who are impacted by the global health crisis in partnership with Guy Fieri and the National Restaurant Association. 100% of contributions to RERF will go to restaurant employees impacted by COVID-19.
