In 2022, 17 million American households experienced food insecurity at least once during the year because of lack of money or other resources. Food banks play a critical role in providing these families and individuals access to healthy, nourishing foods.

To support the important work that food banks do, Keurig Dr Pepper, Kroger and McCormick & Company donated $2,500 to the Montgomery County Food Bank in Texas. This donation will provide 10,000 meals for those facing food insecurity in the area.

The Montgomery County Food Bank is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that serves more than 35,000 individuals each month. It also distributes food to more than 80 partner agencies across the county, including religious organizations, colleges, community centers and refugee centers.

To demonstrate its appreciation for the food bank volunteers, Keurig Dr Pepper, Kroger and McCormick & Company also treated volunteers to lunch from Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q during a busy day at the pantry.

As many celebrate Thanksgiving, it is a time to reflect and appreciate what we have.  It’s also important to help provide for those who may not have the same access. We encourage you to join us this holiday season by giving back to your communities and offering a helping hand for those in need.
