America's leading beverage companies are committed to reducing their plastic footprint. Through our groundbreaking initiative, Every Bottle Back, we're marshalling the equivalent of nearly a half-billion dollars to increase the amount of plastic that is collected and remade into new products.

Led by The Coca-Cola Company, Keurig Dr Pepper and PepsiCo, and in partnership with World Wildlife Fund, The Recycling Partnership and Closed Loop Partners, the beverage industry is working to advance a more circular system for our 100% recyclable plastic bottles. By doing so we're ensuring they don't end up in places they don't belong, such as oceans, rivers, beaches or landfills.

In 2020 alone, we committed more than $10 million towards regional modernization projects to enhance recycling infrastructure in 11 local communities. These projects are projected to help collect 644 million more pounds of PET over ten years that can be recycled and remade into new bottles and other items. Here are just some of the details on work that is already underway:

  • In the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we're investing $3 million in recycling access, education and a collection facility upgrade.
  • In Broken Arrow, Okla., we're launching a new curbside recycling program to produce 5.8 million pounds of recycled PET over 10 years.
  • In Kenosha, Wis., we're investing $520,000 to upgrade an outdated recycling system to produce 2.1 million additional pounds of recycled PET.
  • In Ann Arbor, Mich., we're providing $800,000 to help rebuild and reopen a local materials recovery facility.
  • In Central Ohio, we're providing 7,300 new recycling carts for households in Pleasant Township and the city of Whitehall.
