The much anticipated and hotly discussed large tangle of red steel inside London’s Olympic Park has caught the attention of critics and art lovers alike. The sculpture, “Arcelor Mittal Orbit,” is the work of the Indian-born British sculptor Anish Kapoor in collaboration with architect Cecil Balmond. Painted bright red and in the form of a deconstructed spiral, the tower weighs more than 2,000 tons and is more than 377 feet high – taller than the Statue of Liberty. Even more impressive to us here at Sip & Savor is the fact that more than half of the steel used in its creation is reclaimed and recycled.

Our member companies are all about recycling. From innovative packaging designed to be 100 percent recyclable to a dedication to sustainability, the beverage industry is always working toward a greener tomorrow by further reducing its environmental footprint.

Even if you’re not constructing the largest sculpture in Great Britain, recycling and reusing can be a part of your everyday life.
