As children across the country head back to school, “Let’s Move! Active Schools,” a collaborative initiative between health and education organizations including the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreations and Dance (AAHPERD) and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, is encouraging the nation’s youth to get active.  In a one minute YouTube video from “Let’s Move! Active Schools” celebrity athletes including this year’s U.S. Open tennis champion Serena Williams and Olympian Ashton Eaton share their gym class stories which helped them define their dreams at an early age.

The message is simple – children of all ages perform better when they’re active. Let’s get them moving so they too can reach their greatest potential. Watch, share then get active!
