Did you know that 45 percent of all non-alcoholic beverages purchased today have zero calories? A recent story from Bloomberg Businessweek discusses how diners throughout America are paying more attention to their waistlines and when given the option, are more and more likely to choose low- and no-calorie options: “A new study by the Hudson Institute finds that demand for traditional items at restaurants is falling, with what the think tank calls ‘low-calorie’ items rising to take their place.”

America’s beverage companies are proud to deliver what consumers want by providing more choices, smaller portions, fewer calories and clear calorie labels. With our Clear on Calories initiative, we’re also making it easier for consumers to make informed decisions by placing clear calorie labels on the front of every can, bottle and pack we produce.

Through efforts like these and many others, we have cut average calories per serving by 23 percent since 1998 and given consumers the knowledge and freedom to choose the beverage option that is right for them and their families.
