This morning, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 175,000 jobs were created last month. You might be interested to know is that according to a report issued by FoodAndBeveragePeople.com, more than 22 percent of that job growth came from the food and beverage industry. From FoodAndBeveragePeople.com:

“In comparison to other sectors, the food and beverage industry remains a positive force in the job market, accounting in May for 22.8% of all job growth.”

The food and beverage industry plays a critical role in sustaining the health of the U.S. economy. The non-alcoholic beverage industry alone has a direct economic impact of $141.22 billion, provides more than 233,000 jobs and helps to support hundreds of thousands more that depend, in part, on beverage sales for their livelihood. Our presence is felt in every corner of every community in America, and together, we are helping rebuild our nation’s economy.
