Every day, Americans enjoy a wide variety of beverages at home, at work and on the go. Our beverages also come in a variety of packages for convenience and to meet the needs of consumers, whether you’re buying beverages for yourself, your family or your kids’ soccer team. To protect the environment, America’s beverage companies are making 100% recyclable plastic bottles, including the caps. And we’re investing in improvements to community collection systems, so our bottles and cans are remade into new ones as intended. We don’t want our bottles and cans to end up as waste in the environment and we are working to reduce our use of new plastic. That’s why America’s leading beverage companies are continually looking for ways to reduce our plastic footprint. Among them:

  • This month, Coca-Cola North America announced the debut of a new 13.2-oz. plastic bottle made from 100% recycled PET.
  • Keurig Dr Pepper’s enhanced water, Core Hydration is now made of recycled PET, excluding the label and cap.
  • PepsiCo’s brands bubly™ and SodaStream© have teamed up to launch bubly drops™. This collaboration provides consumers the alternative option of a reusable SodaStream© bottle, without sacrificing their favorite bubly™ flavors.

America’s leading beverage companies have also teamed up to reduce their plastic footprint through the Every Bottle Back initiative. The goal is for every bottle to become a new bottle, and not end up in oceans, rivers, beaches or wasted in landfills. And that means we’re using less new plastic.
