A recent Rasmussen Reports poll found that 63 percent of American adults oppose a ban on the sale of soft drinks larger than 16 ounces, with just 19 percent in favor of a law like the one former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg proposed.

Americans are more opposed now than ever before to proposals that would put limits on their right to choose what to eat and drink, in part because they know that taxes and bans won’t do anything to improve public health.
