In New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Public Health Association is fighting obesity by increasing access to fresh fruits and vegetables in communities that need it most.

Recently, the New Hampshire Public Health Association received two $10,000 grants from the New Hampshire Beverage Association and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America to support the farmer markets within the New Hampshire Nutrition Incentives Network and the Granite State Market Match Program. The program will increase the amount of fresh produce a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipient can buy at a farmers market.

The beverage industry has a long tradition of giving back to our local communities and collaborating with leaders across our nation on meaningful solutions to societal challenges such as obesity. And with support of the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America, the New Hampshire Beverage Association is doing its part to help their community.
