America’s leading beverage companies are committed to getting every bottle back so they can be remade into new bottles, as intended.  We know that addressing the sustainability challenges of today requires focused and collaborative solutions which is why we’re working with all those who share our goal of preserving the environment.

Through our Every Bottle Back initiative, we’re partnering with leading environmental groups, including Closed Loop Partners, The Recycling Partnership and World Wildlife Fund, local governments and the private sector to modernize recycling infrastructure and increase consumer awareness surrounding our 100% recyclable bottles and cans.  Over the next 10 years, the beverage industry is investing $100 million to enhance the collection of our products so we decrease our plastic footprint and ensure our bottles and cans don’t end up in places they don’t belong, such as waterways, roadways and public spaces.

Since the inception of our industry’s Every Bottle Back initiative, we’ve committed funding of $10.6 million for 12 community recycling projects in targeted regions of the country including Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin – with many more exciting announcements to come!  It’s estimated that these 12 committed investments will generate 646 million pounds of PET plastic over 10 years for the remaking into new bottles.

This work complements other sustainability efforts underway by The Coca-Cola Company, Keurig Dr Pepper and PepsiCo that focus on designing beverage containers for recyclability.

We look forward to building on our partnerships with environmental groups, local governments and the private sector to invest in community recycling programs and further our industry’s mission of getting Every Bottle Back.
