This week, America’s Beverage companies celebrated World Water Day! We know that every drop of water counts and we’ve invested heavily to support a long-term, clean, sustainable supply of water for all.

Here are a few examples of the efforts by America’s leading beverage companies:

The Coca-Cola Company announced this week a new strategy to achieve water security by 2030 for its business as well as for the communities and the natural environments in which it operates. Water stewardship has long been a business imperative for Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola became the first Fortune 500 company to replenish all water used in its global beverage production – five years ahead of plan – and has done so every year since. Keurig Dr Pepper recently supported their Texas neighbors impacted by winter storms by providing nearly 50,000 cans of Deja Blue water to the City of Dallas for community distribution. More than 130,000 cans of Deja Blue water were distributed to help support warming shelters across the state of Texas. Over 12,000 bottles of water went to the Houston Food Bank in partnership with evian®. Keurig Dr Pepper has also set a goal to partner with their highest water-risk operating communities to replenish 100% of water used for beverage production in those communities by 2025. The PepsiCo Foundation has helped more than 55 million people gain access to safe water through distribution, purification and conservation programs. This far surpasses the company’s original target to help 25 million people by 2025. PepsiCo is also developing water saving technologies to improve their water conservation rate. In fact, at the first site where their water conservation technology was fully implemented, their water footprint was reduced by over 40 million liters. Find out more here.
